cost to build a garage

When planning a new garage for your home, one of the factors that will often take precedence is how much it will cost. Ensuring that you are keeping to your budget is often a source of worry, and the cost involved in building a garage may have an impact on this. As such, we do everything possible to keep our prices both competitive and fitting for the budget you already have planned.

At English Heritage Buildings, we aim to offer a wide variety of handcrafted, ready-made and bespoke oak and timber garages to our customers across the UK. Costs on these will vary, depending on what is asked for, but we are certain that we can always craft and deliver your new garage with your specific needs taken into consideration, as well as to the standards we expect and at a price that will suit you.

Contact us today if you would like to speak to one of our friendly members of staff about what we can build. Alternatively, you can also read on to find out more about how we set out our fees or explore our range to find the garage that will look perfect when placed on your property.

How Much Does it Cost to Build a Garage?

Our selection of garages all come with their own prices attached, starting from around £4,900+VAT without the costs of delivery, roofing or groundworks.

These costs are all dependent on which of our products you want for your property. For instance, the cost to build a double garage from us (which starts at £5,000+VAT) will be higher than the price of building a single garage. In turn, the cost to build a two car garage with loft space, or even the cost of building a three car garage, will increase from there.

Certain features of our ready-designed products can also affect the price. To give an example, if you are planning on creating a two bay garage with a room above it, for the supply of an oak framed garage, including two sets of hardwood garage doors, you can expect to see a price of £15,500+VAT. However, this decreases to £11,600+VAT if you choose not to add the doors.

Prices for Bespoke Wooden Garages

cost to build a garageMany of our customers come to us with a design already in mind for their dream custom-made garage, or wondering if they can adapt one of our catalogue designs in order to suit what they would like for their property. We are delighted to be able to help our customers make their dreams a reality with our “Design Your Own” service on our site, and can also happily say that customers will not have to worry about price increases if they choose a custom design.

Our bespoke timber garages are priced the same way as our ready-made catalogue designs, meaning that if you choose to build the garage you have always wanted, you will not have to pay more for it being your own creation. This will help to save you more money than if you had chosen to go elsewhere.

Please go to our bespoke design service page to learn more, or get in touch with us. Our team members will be happy to discuss the process with you, before you decide on your purchase.

Our Fixed Prices

No matter which of our products you choose to buy, you will not have to worry about the prices increasing once you have placed your order. We provide a fixed price quotation for everything we make, keeping our prices as competitive as possible. We will also never add extra costs onto your project once a purchase has been made, if you have not made any further requests or changes to the design.

Costs will rarely change for our quotes. The only time that you should ever see a different price to the one originally provided will be if you wish to change something about your design, or if the Building Control Officer requests a change in the specification or design of your groundworks.

For more information about our fixed price service, please do not hesitate to call us. We can answer any of your questions and even provide a free quote on what you would like for your property.

Our Price Match Service

cost to build a garageAs well as offering fixed prices, our aim to keep our prices competitive also means that we are proud to offer a price match guarantee for the cost of our services. You can be safe in the knowledge that you will be getting a high quality product for a price that you not only expect, but may also help your budget more than you had imagined.

In order to offer our price matches, all you have to do is provide us with an emailed or posted copy of an official quote from one of our competitors. This quote should be a fixed price, match our specifications and be guaranteed to not increase after their structural engineer has confirmed their own final quote.

To find out more about our price match services and to get a list of the competitors we will match against to offer the lowest, most cost-effective prices, please get in touch with us by phone or email.
