We will work with you to ensure the design is made to suit your needs, at a price that has been calculated exactly for your budget, so you will have the space you need to store your car, tools, or any other items you need kept in your outdoor space, as soon as possible.
Timber is one of the oldest construction materials, and even to this day remains a popular choice for its strength, resistance to the elements, and versatility of use. We make use of two different types, green oak and Douglas-fir, in order to craft carport designs that meet the needs and requirements of our customers, whether they are looking for small, 1-bay designs with a single storey or large, multicomplex structures with a number of rooms and spaces for storage.
We’re confident that we can help you to design and build your ideal structure for parking and storage, and we have even given you a list of some of the reasons we think this below:

We take pride in our service, and we are delighted to have been the recipient of the prestigious South East Best Rural Manufacturing Business award. This involved five judges assessing 17 different categories associated with our work, as well as marking our company history, ethics, branding, customer service, individuality, and rural credentials.
We have also had the honour in our time as a company to become the first oak and timber frame-based building firm to hold Q-Mark certification from BM TRADA. Having this certification tells our customers that they will always receive a product made to industry standards and nothing less.
Our carbon footprint is naturally reduced by choosing to use timber in our manufacturing work, and it is made even smaller by the fact that we ethically and sustainably source our wood. Every tree we use is taken from the same specially designated site, and for each one we use in our work, we will ensure that three saplings are planted in its place. This generates a steady supply of products and means we can keep our prices competitive.
All of the trees we use are also grown to be as tall, strong, and straight as possible, ensuring more of the wood can be used and less is wasted in manufacture.
We craft all of our carport products from high-grade, moisture-resistant materials that are carefully checked over and inspected by our team of trained and qualified carpenters and timber graders before any manufacturing work begins. Their work ensures that only the strongest wood is ever used in our products, maintaining consistent structural integrity throughout and ensuring that even the smallest 1-bay, single storey design or the largest multicomplex build will hold its desired aesthetic appearance.
We design and manufacture timber frame products with a faster, less labour-intensive assembly in mind. This is easily achieved with precision engineering and a set of traditional jointing techniques that allow us to manufacture with precision accuracy and quickly build the finished design. If you’re looking for a product to meet a particular deadline this will be the service you need.
We provide bespoke products to the specifications and requirements of each individual purchaser. This means that every customer who comes to us with ideas in mind for a timber frame car port will receive the exact structure they have been imagining for their property, in terms of both dimensions and aesthetics. Wooden structures are also thought to lend a more rural or natural element to properties of any architectural design, blending in seamlessly while still offering timeless charm.
Timber products offer a great benefit in that they are wonderfully easy to maintain. They require hardly any work at all to be kept in their best condition, and even though the tannins in the wood will adapt to their environment and darken over time, this doesn’t mean the material is losing its strength or durability. You will also have the option to regularly seal and treat the wood if you would like it to retain the colour it will have once installed.
We have over 35 years of experience in the building and construction industry, and we are proud to offer a specialist service that designs and manufactures timber frame carports of exceptional quality. All work is carried out in our own workshops by a team of master craftsmen and carpenters, and all installation work is undertaken by our own skilled and dedicated builders.
In most cases, it’s unlikely that a timber carport will need planning permission. This is because they tend to be small, single or double bay designs that fall under the terms of permitted development. So, if you only need a 1-bay or 2-bay car port that keeps your vehicle out of the rain, you will not need permission from your local authority before starting.
If you require something larger and more complex, however, or that falls outside of the other terms of permitted development, you will require permission before work can begin. Fortunately, we also have a team of professional planning consultants on hand to help ensure your applications go through the first time, whether you need to build something large, or want your new purchase to sit on designated land.
If you need a new, sheltered space to store your vehicle, or to keep tools and other items you cannot find space for indoors, English Heritage Buildings will help you design your ideal timber carport solution. Our friendly team will be ready and waiting to discuss all your needs and specifications as soon as you get in touch, and we can ensure that the product you buy will be ready for a quick delivery and professional installation within six to eight weeks of the work being signed off.
With our service to assist, you will soon be using your new timber frame carport for anything you need, from everyday parking, to that little bit of extra work or storage space.
We are oak frame specialists, with nearly 40 years of experience producing high-quality oak buildings, and this expertise is demonstrated through both our industry accreditations and our awards.
