Building a Bespoke Oak Orangery

We take pride in the exceptional oak orangeries, garden rooms, and extensions we provide across the UK, and we’re happy to make our products as unique as the properties they will be attached to, or installed on. Every build we complete will be done to the manufacturing and installation specifications of each purchaser, so when you come to us with plans for your own oak orangery, we will be glad to offer our services to help make them a reality.

How Much Will an Oak Framed Orangery Cost?

As each oak conservatory, orangery, garden room or building we make is manufactured to the specifications of the purchaser, each product will also come at an individual cost. We will go over every part of a planned design with our customers in order to help them calculate the cost of their own planned structure, so their price tags will be matched to the features they wish to see in their own product. When you choose us to build your own oak orangery, you can therefore expect a design that’s been manufactured to suit your needs and tastes in every way.

In most cases, our products will be priced between £5,000 and £30,000 (though this is for larger, more complex builds). To find out how much your own oak orangery will cost, please contact us and speak to a member of our team about setting out your own specifications. They’ll be able to provide you with a quote.

Our Q-Mark Certification

All of our oak buildings and structures, from garden rooms and garages to oak orangeries and extensions, are Q-Mark certified. This means that the timber frames in our products have all been designed and crafted to industry standard, and you may rest assured that you will always be receiving a high quality product. Our techniques and processes are also regularly overseen and analysed by BM TRADA, one of the strictest and most respected certification panels in the UK, in order to ensure they are kept to the standards we expect.

Our timber is all sourced from a site in France that has been designated for this purpose, and we use only the best green oak (Quercus Robur and Quercus Petraea) we have available to make our products. This stunning, long-lasting wood is guaranteed to produce the beautiful timber structure you have been hoping for when crafted by our skilled manufacturing team, so you will be able to enjoy the sight of your new oak orangery as much as you will enjoy the view from it.

To minimise waste and to keep our work as sustainable as possible, we will also make sure that new saplings are planted in place of every tree that is used in our work. All of these trees are cultivated to ensure they grow to be as tall and straight as they can be, meaning more of the wood can be used in the manufacture and construction process. Doing this also means that less land is used, which allows us to keep prices competitive for our customers.

FAQs

Is Your Construction Process Covid-19 Friendly?

We are continuing to do everything we can to keep both you and our team safe during the time of Covid-19. This means ensuring that our process remains secure throughout, from the moment our timber arrives to the moment your product is sent off for delivery and installation. To make sure this happens, we are still operating under the strictest safety measures and taking all necessary precautions.

Our team members all wear masks while working and we’re fully committed to following the current regulations.

How Long Will My Oak Orangery Take to Deliver?

Once we know and have received confirmation that you are happy with the oak framed orangery you have ordered (including the deposit, signed drawing, quotation, and terms and conditions), our craftsmen will set to work manufacturing the frames. These will then be sent out as soon as they are ready.

We’re more than happy to deliver anywhere in the UK or the Channel Islands, and any product we make should arrive at its intended destination within six to eight weeks of the work being signed off.

How Long Will My Oak Orangery Take to Install?

How long your orangery will take to install all depends on the size and design. A smaller oak framed orangery, for instance, may take between several weeks and a month for the work to be finished and ready to use. Larger or more complex oak orangeries, on the other hand, may take longer than this.

Will Anything Else Affect the Cost?

If you’re considering extending your property with an oak framed orangery, there may be a few extra factors you’ll need to consider when setting out a budget for it:

– How you intend to use the space once it’s complete (if it will be a living space, home office, dining room or kitchen extension, etc.)
– The style of frame or cross-section
– The type of timber that should be used for the cladding, joinery, and rafters
– Access and security requirements

If you’ve already reached the final stages of planning for your orangery and you have yet to consider these factors, there is no need to be concerned. One of our members of staff will be glad to discuss them with you when you contact us, so you will always be able to choose the best oak framed building or extension for your budget.

If you would like to learn more about our oak framed orangeries, or if you have any further questions you would like answered, please see our FAQs page.
